Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the questions we hear most often. Have something more specific? We're always happy to talk.

For Intended Parents
How long does surrogacy take from start to finish? +
The average surrogacy journey takes 18–24 months from initial consultation to delivery. The first 3–6 months typically involve screening, matching, and legal preparation, followed by medical procedures and the full pregnancy term.
Can I choose my surrogate? +
Yes — the matching process is mutual. You'll review surrogate profiles and meet your potential match before either party commits. We facilitate the introduction and support communication, but the decision is always yours.
What if the embryo transfer doesn't work? +
We support you through every outcome. If a transfer is unsuccessful, we work with your IVF clinic to determine next steps and coordinate any necessary rematching or additional transfers. Your contract will outline exactly how these scenarios are handled.
Do you work with international intended parents? +
Yes. We have extensive experience supporting intended parents from over 30 countries. We help navigate all visa, travel, and legal requirements so international families receive the same quality of care as domestic clients.
For Surrogates
How is compensation paid? +
Base compensation is paid in monthly installments, typically beginning once the pregnancy is confirmed by a heartbeat. All compensation is held in an escrow account managed by our finance team, ensuring your payments are secure and on time.
Will I need my own lawyer? +
Yes — you will have independent legal representation to review your contract. This is standard practice and protects your rights throughout the journey. The cost of your attorney is covered by the intended parents, not you.
Can I be a surrogate if I've had a C-section? +
In most cases, yes. Having had a C-section does not automatically disqualify you. We evaluate C-section history on a case-by-case basis with input from our medical team. Generally, up to 2 previous C-sections is acceptable, though this can vary.
What kind of relationship will I have with the intended parents? +
This is entirely up to you and the intended parents — and we facilitate that conversation openly during the matching process. Some surrogates form close friendships that last long after delivery. Others prefer a more structured, professional dynamic. Both are equally valid, and your comfort is our priority.
